The American Basketball Association “ABA” has over 160 teams in the United States, and we are about to explode with our 2022-2023 season. We are offering only 10 unique Sports Marketing Internship positions for the 2022-2023 season. Position Overview: The Sports Marketing internship program offers hands-on experience in sales, marketing, public relations, community outreach and game day operations through implementing and planning off-season activities leading up to and through the conclusion of the 2022-2023 season. Sports Marketing Interns will be an integral part of the ABA’s marketing and media team by assisting in all aspects of selling, fulfilling and executing sales and media initiatives. This position will give you the experience to easily jump-start your career in sports marketing. In this position you will need to work in the following area with proficiency • Web and social content creation • Public relations engagement • Community Relations • Corporate Partnerships • Local sponsorship engagement • Ticket Sales • Player appearances • Events & Entertainment • Game day involvement. he 2022-2023 The American Basketball Association “ABA Internship program will begin in June 2022 and end at the conclusion of the 2022-2023 “ABA” Championship game. This is a remote position but onsite on game days may at times be required. Internship Requirements • Working towards a four-year or two-year college degree or graduate degree or recent graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or Sports Management • Access to computer and internet • Access to phone • Reliable transportation (Not mandatory) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects • Strong professional attitude • Played organized sports or have experience in the sports industry at any level.
