Join us in learning about how to protect the mental health of your athletes, coaches and youth sport families in this 2-hour interactive training.
The Mental Health Awareness training provided by The US Center for Mental Health and Sport (501c3) will help all participants recognize some of the signs and symptoms of mental health concerns while taking a closer look at common mental health challenges among sport participants such as depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. We will discuss ways to start the conversation and what we can do to help.
We will conclude with what resources may exist in your specific community and encourage a variety of options for support in hopes of making the youth sport environment a safer place to play.
This event is free for parents who have children that participate with OYSA. We ask that only 1 parent per household attend.
