Today's conservatives is really an authoritarian fascist. Look at DeSantis, for example. Mobilizing the power of the state against Disney, a private company, for their LGBTQ support. If the shoe was on the other foot, conservatives would be unglued. Sadly, today's conservative is also incapable of having an intelligent conversation about social differences. All they are capable of is wanting to "own the libs," be angry, hateful, and resentful. They are the perfect people for Trump to get all riled up, and separate them from their money. True, most are not wealthy, but if you get $50 from 30 million people every month, that's some serious money.I have friends that are "conservatives," but I have a difficult time dealing with self-serving idiots and it gets in the way of the friendship. It's just easier to blow them off. Life is too short to deal with them.
