Did you know bees are responsible for 1 out of 3 bites of food we eat? Celebrate birds, bees, butterflies and other pollinators all week with family-friendly activities, interactive installations, tastings, guests and meet the bee keeper moments. Here's what's happening (subject to change): Monday, June 20 - Sunday, June 26 Interactive Pollinator Wing Installation. Open daily 8 am - 6 pm. Beeeee the pollinators! Take selfies in the fields with assorted bird, butterfly and bee wings hand-painted by local maker Sage & Oak Creative. Learn about the importance of our beloved pollinators along the way. FREE. Open daily. No registration required. Pollinator Coloring & Activity Sheets & Stickers. Available daily 8 am - 6 pm. Pick up a pollinator activity sheet and pollinator sticker inside the farm store anytime from 8 am - 6pm. FREE. Pick up both at the register. While supplies last. - Wednesday, June 22 Coffee, Honey & Bees… Yes, Please! 10 am - 1 pm. Bees play an important role when it comes to coffee acting as a pollination booster. Cider Hill Farm and our friends at Kaha Coffee Roasters are joining forces to honor our essential pollinators with free samples of locally roasted coffee and honey. FREE. No registration required. - Friday, June 24 Discovery Day - Pollinator Week! Build-a-Butterfly Bath. 9 am and 10:30 am sessions. Register for this 50-minute hands-on class is led by educator, Janelle King. In this session, explorers will learn about the many pollinators that visit the farm and how the contribute. Explorers ages 3.5-8 yrs old will build a bee/butterfly bath for their home garden. $12 per child. Registration required. Limited space available. - Saturday, June 25 Plant a Mini Pollinator Garden. 10 am - 12 pm. Without pollinators like hummingbirds, butterflies, moths, bees, flies and beetles, we will have less food to eat. Come create a small pot for your own yard to show our pollinators some LOVE to provide them the essential food supply they need! $4. Profits go to Essex County Beekeepers Association. Roll Honeycomb Candles & Meet the Beekeepers. 10 am - 12 pm. Join Essex County Beekeepers Association (ECBA) to learn about beehives and roll a bee's wax candle to take home. FREE. While supplies last. - Sunday, June 26 Teas, Bees & Butterflies. 9 am - 12 pm. Join us and our friends from NOBL Beverages for a FREE family-friendly day! Visit the children's pollinator activity tent to make n' create wearable bee n' butterfly masks. Adults enjoy free tastings of our fave NH made cold brew tea on tap. NOBL's signatures Hibiscus Lavender and Jasmine Rose are a must try!
