The Arcadian Wild
Plain Faraday
The Arcadian Wild began in the fall of 2013 when a few choir students from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN met up after class to jam for the afternoon. Now, five years later, guitar Isaac Horn and mandolinist Lincoln Mick lead The Arcadian Wild, joining forces and collaborating with other talented musicians to create a unique and diverse sound. Following in the heals of the successful release of their sophomore record, "Finch in the Pantry" (May 2019, Antifragile Music), which debuted at #9 on the Billboard bluegrass charts, The Arcadian Wild is in the midst of a multi-movement, multi-media project called "Principium". With the first of four movements released ("Spring: Wake") and the next three scheduled to release over the course of the next year, the band is gearing up to release a short film inspired by music, making Principium the most distinct and ambitious of their projects to date. With roots running deep in formal vocal music, and influenced by progressive bluegrass and folk artists, The Arcadian Wild explores an acoustic sound that is simultaneously unified and diverse, offering up songs of invitation; calls to come and see, to find refuge and rest, or to journey and wonder.
