Join UDC-CAUSES Urban Youth Education Program and Data Science Camp, Inc. for a unique summer experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Mathematics! Meet the founder of Science Camp, Inc. Joyce Hunter, and Former Eagles Running Back Brian Westbrook to host this impactful camp for high school students. Our camp’s focus is on educating youth about how data is collected, analyzed, and used to make effective decisions in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Math (STEAM). Featured presentations from representatives from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), ESRI, and Tableau will share valuable information on their data collection practices, career choices, and how to gain employment in their agencies. Participants will learn about groundbreaking agricultural practices while visiting the UDC Farm, The Westbrook Farm in Upper Marlboro, and the East Capitol Urban Farm.
