The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Southern New Jersey Chapter celebrated 20 years as a chartered advocacy organization on February 24, 2021. We advocate unapologetically for black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment. Our mission and values reflect our intentional purpose to foster principles of equal rights and opportunities that cultivate a generation of socially conscious young leaders to strengthen and build our communities.
The Rising To The Top Scholarship Program helps to bridge the gap between access and opportunity for under-represented students, many who are the first in their families to attend a college or university. Since 2002, we have awarded over $170,000 in scholarships and $30,000 in laptop computers to high school seniors and single mothers in Southern New Jersey communities. This year, we hope to add to this legacy.
We invite you to partner with us in driving change by supporting the next generation of women leaders ' scholarship and service to our communities. We firmly believe in this Mali proverb; "To educate a girl, educates a woman, who educates a village, who educates a nation." Join us today in nation building by honoring young women who aspire to be great, celebrating their academic achievements and committment to service in their respective communities.
Thank You,
Maxine Bagley
