Greensboro has a deep history of cooperative efforts that advance social justice and the greater good. These extend from our Quaker roots and the Underground Railroad to present-day efforts supporting refugees and nurturing community gardens, food coops, and people’s markets. At this Stories of Us gathering, we will have a series of speakers on Greensboro’s cooperative movements and models, and we will have a chance to share our own experiences and envision how we can grow these efforts to create a more vibrant and caring community.
