Universe Peoples Crazy Horse Presents Ages 21+ Universe Peoples is an unabashed jamband with a funky, rocking approach that loves nothing more than to pull any inhibitions out of its audiences. Innovative takes on the Grateful Dead, Phish and other choice covers flow freely from the LA-based quartet. More and more original songs are working their way into the mix. The soaring guitar of Nathan Reinert is undoubtedly a centerpiece. The groove-centric bass playing of Paul Hiller sets dancefloors aflame. The shimmering keyboard work from Albert Margolis is a touchstone for Universe People’s sound. This veteran has collaborated with a prestigious list of artists including Peter Gabriel, Daniel Lanois (U2 Producer), Ivan and Cyril Neville, Leo Nocentelli & Zigaboo Modeleste (The Meters), Stanton Moore (Galactic) and Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company, The Allman Brothers). When drummer Garrett Morris moved on from The Higgs, we were excited to see what project he’d land on next. The guy approaches his instrument with the methodical commitment of a lifelong pro and the childlike wonder of a kid playing his new kit on Christmas morning. Sometimes you might think he has an extra limb or two while playing drums with Universe Peoples. He’ll surely be telling his bandmates how special the Crazy Horse is and they’ll be ready to launch us into new frontiers in the heat of the summer.
