City Gears Up For Fourth Of July 2022 Event In San Juan Capistrano

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Independence Day is several weeks away, and if you're in search of a plan to celebrate the holiday, you're in luck: the City of San Juan Capistrano is hosting its Fourth of July Celebration and Summer Carnival July 1 through July 4. The event will feature carnival rides, with live performances by "The Big Rock Show" scheduled for July 2 and July 3. On July 4, the event will close out with a dazzling fireworks display starting at 9 p.m., a city flyer said. Residents who attend the free event will also enjoy food vendors, family-friendly picnic games, balloon animal art, a free animal petting pen and more. Participating residents can also enter a free drawing to win a bike, courtesy of Buy My Bikes, according to the city. The City of San Juan Capistrano's Fourth of July Celebration & Summer Carnival runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 1, from noon to 10 p.m. July 2 and July 3, and noon to 10:30 p.m. on July 4. Residents can hop aboard the city's free trolley service to get to and from the carnival. To learn more about trolley stops and schedules, visit the city's website. Residents were asked to leave personal fireworks, barbecues and pets at home as they are not permitted at the event.
