Press release from San Diego County Sheriff's Department: June 11, 2022 The following information is fragmentary and has not been completely verified. It is based, in part, on hearsay and is intended for early information use rather than being a formal investigative report. On June 11, 2022, just before 2:00 A.M., Sheriff's deputies responded to the southwest corner of Palm St. and Mulder St. in the City of Lemon Grove for a report of a male with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Deputies and the Fire Department arrived just after 2:00 A.M. and found a fifteen-year-old male deceased on the sidewalk. He had obvious signs of trauma to his upper body. Prior to deputy arrival, an unknown male was seen running from the location where the victim was found. The Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded and assumed responsibility of the investigation. The identity of the male is known, and family have been notified. The circumstances and motivation are still under investigation.
