You bought some instruments, you've taken some classes, maybe you have your own established place to practice or not. Are you thriving? Are you legal? Do you know what you're doing as a business owner? We will look at what you need to know about the legal requirements such as zoning, taxes, deductions, record-keeping, promotions, PR, advertising, social media, vision and mission statements, liability, self-care, the benefits of collaborative work and community support even if you're a lone wolf, ethics, and lots of motivation, inspiration and networking. Business is not boring...and we will have some fun as we learn at least some of the basics, so you have a good energetic and practical foundation. Bring what you need to be comfortable for the day including lunch. Air conditioning is not controlled by our studio so if you mind the chill, dress appropriately. You must register by July 6. Instructor: Lana Ryder is successful holistic entrepreneur for 27 years, including opening and maintaining one of the area's first multi-faceted holistic healing centers, Tree of Life Healing Associates, LLC, 24 years ago, and writing and teaching 24-hour business curriculum for two area massage therapy schools for nearly ten years. She taught numerous holistic classes such as sonic massage, spa modalities, healthy nutrition, and energy therapies including Usui Reiki for 20 years. Lana created ReikiVoice and ReikiSound courses to introduce Reiki and other energy practitioners to using sound and voice integratively with their practice. Her personal continuing education is ongoing with more recent focus in sound therapy and other personal growth, spiritual and energy healing practices. Her healing practice, Soundwise Health Associates, LLC incorporated holistic health coaching, massage, energy and sound therapy practices when established in 2008 and has transitioned to a dedicated teaching center for both allopathic and holistic healthcare practitioners to learn more about using sound for self-care and for their clients and patients. Lana's twenty five year's experience and education in allopathic health care benefits her students as well. Classes are kept small to allow for more attention and personal interaction.
