Press release from the City of Wilkes-Barre: June 9, 2022 Wilkes-Barre City Hall will be closed and there will be no DPW services or garbage, yard waste, or recycling collection on Tuesday, June 14th in observance of Flag Day. Garbage and paper and cardboard recycling collection resumes for North End, Heights, and Brookside neighborhoods on Wednesday, June 15th.
