SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Santa Clara County's budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year is undergoing a series of hearing sessions this week by the board of supervisors.
The public meetings begin Monday and run through Thursday for the proposed budget, which can be viewed here. The county anticipated $9.5 billion in revenue and $10.8 billion in expenditures,
Monday's hearings begin at 1:30 p.m. and include discussions on finance and government operations and health and hospital services. The meetings continue Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. – with a possible 6:30 p.m. evening session – on public safety and justice; children, seniors and families; and housing, land use, environment and transportation.
The supervisors will provide a summary and wrap up the hearings on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
