Deliver Meals To: 5200 Bayou Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32503 850-477-2273 Notes from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida : Covid-19 CHANGES TO OUR MEAL SCHEDULE: AT THIS TIME WE ARE WELCOMING BACK 8 PEOPLE AT A TIME TO PROVIDE MEALS. YOU MAY COME TO THE HOUSE AND COOK OR ORDER FROM A RESTAURANT OR COMMERCIAL KITCHEN AND HAVE DELIVERED OR DROP IT OFF YOURSELF. Hopefully we can increase volunteers in the coming months, stay tuned for more information. We are still doing our best to feed our families and any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your interest in providing a meal for families at Ronald McDonald House. Having a child in the hospital can be difficult for any family, and even the smallest chores create additional stress. When you provide, prepare, and serve a meal for our families, you are providing great comfort as well as a wonderful, home-cooked meal. In addition you are relieving parents of one more worry and to do, in their already stressful day. Our meal volunteers have put together the following guidelines to help when planning your meal. Please be aware that HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS REQUIRE FOOD PREPARATION AND COOKING BE DONE AT OUR HOUSE OR A COMMERCIALLY LICENSED KITCHEN. Your Volunteer Group Number of Servings to Prepare Breakfast: 20 people serving at 7:30am Lunch: 25 people serving at 12:00pm Dinner: 30 people serving at 5:30 pm Meal Preparation Times You may arrive up to two hours before your planned serving time, and if you require additional prep time, or a different serving time, please just let us know when you schedule your meal. What We Provide We have a large variety of dishes, utensils, and cookware, including pots, pans, cookie sheets, crock pots, ice machine, etc. You are welcome to use these items to prepare and serve your meal. There are a total of four ovens and two large stove tops in our kitchen, and two grills on the back patio. Because of the hazards of frying food, we ask that your group not fry anything inside. If you wish to fry or use the grills please call in advance and we can set up a table out on the back patio to accommodate those needs. We have a NO FRYING policy at our house. What We Would Like You to Bring Please bring all the ingredients needed for your meal as well as condiments, seasonings, toppings, etc. It is very helpful to bring foil serving pans, Plastic utensils, Paper Plates and to go take-out containers if possible. If you would like to provide beverages and desserts families would greatly appreciate them. What to Expect Upon Your Arrival Parking is available near the main entrance, but if you need to pull up closer to unload, you may do so in our circle drive. If you are scheduled for a weekend meal, simply press the red call button at the front door and let us know you are a meal donor. Once inside, please sign in at the front desk and let us know if it is your first time so we may give you a tour of the House while you are here. Changes or Cancellations In the event that your group needs to cancel or change your meal, please give us as much notice as possible so that we can make alternate arrangements for our families. If you are unable to cook a meal, we also accept catered meals, or you can send a meal through Take Them A Meal by clicking "Send Them A Meal" at the top of this page. If you have any questions please contact our Volunteer Manager at 850-477-2273 or [email protected]
