LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Summer vacation is upon us, and the Laguna Beach Police Department is hosting an event designed to keep the streets safe all summer long.
The department is hosting a free e-bike safety course June 15, and residents ages 11 through 18 are invited to participate.
At the event, residents speak to local authorities and learn vital information about staying safe on roadways, trails and beaches while riding their bikes or e-bikes.
The safety course will be presented by LBPD school resource officers Fred Yeilding and Ashley Krotine, the event flyer said. Young residents will also receive free bike inspections and be evaluated on their knowledge of e-bike safety at the end of the course.
