The City of Davis announced today that it will be laying down new layers of ground covering at City parks and greenbelts this summer. The ground covering improves safety by cushioning falls, walking and running.
During the installation process, the work areas in the parks and greenbelts will be closed, and the public is asked to maintain a safe distance from the work. There will be noise from trucks and from the ground covering installation machinery. Work will begin at 7 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. each day. The location schedule for the applications is:
June 13 – Arroyo & La Playa Parks June 14 – Community & Covell Parks June 15 – Sandy Motley & Village Parks June 16 – Slide Hill & Woodbridge Parks June 17 – Whaleback & Oak Grove Parks June 20 – Mace Ranch & Chestnut Parks June 21 – West Manor Park June 22 – Walnut Park June 23 – Westwood Park June 24 – Westwood Park & Wildhorse Greenbelt June 27 – Covell Greenbelts #3 & #20 June 28 – Barovetto & Northstar Parks; Aspen & Willowbank Greenbelts June 29 – Willowcreek, Redwood, & Hacienda Parks June 30 – Mace Ranch Mini & Putah Creek Parks; Arroyo Greenbelt July 5 – Sycamore Park July 6 – Sycamore Park July 7 – Sycamore & Pioneer Parks July 8 – Pioneer Park
