UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man randomly attacked a woman on the platform of an Upper East Side subway station on Saturday, according to police, who asked for help tracking down the suspect. The 30-year-old woman was waiting around 3:45 a.m. Saturday on the downtown 6 train platform at the 68th Street-Hunter College station. An unidentified man then walked up, pushed the woman to the ground and caressed his genital area in his pants, according police. The man then left the station in an unknown direction. The woman suffered minor injuries and walked to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center to seek medical attention, police said. Police on Sunday released video of the man walking down the platform in the 68th Street station, and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
