Press release from the Bishop State Community College: June 12, 2022 Bishop State Community College is proud to partner with the City of Mobile - Office of Supplier Diversity to bring the second cohort of Contractor's College that started May 10, 2022. The program helps contractors become knowledgeable about the processes and requirements of various construction projects. This program is intended to increase the available pool of contractors with a DBE or MBE certification as well as submit bid packages for contracted services. This cohort of 14 students will learn about Project Management and the Fundamentals of Crew Leadership in the 139-hour course. The course runs on Tuesday and Thursday nights for 24 weeks. Upon completion, participants receive a nationally recognized NCCER Project Management Certification. Ms. Archinique Kidd with the City of Mobile/Office of Supplier Diversity can help you prepare for the DBE/MBE certification and provide information regarding the next cohort of the Project Management Course.
