Job description We want you to join our growing team at Moses Behavioral Health Care. We are located in Phoenix and Surprise, AZ. Moses BHC is seeking a Cook with high levels of excellence. The Cook will work Facility Manager or appointed staff to produce meals that meet nutritional standards for a variety of diets according to dietary guidelines for our patients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include, but are not limited to: Plans and prepares nutritious, healthy, balanced meals daily and complies with Health code standards Practices highest level of food safety and sanitation standards and attends training, as required Cooks meals, including preparation, serving and clean-up; prepares special meals for clients with special dietary needs, as required Prepares meals, as requested, for breakfast, lunch and dinner accessible in kitchen for staff Makes sure knives, sharpeners and other sharps are properly secured or put away when not in use Maintains kitchen and pantry in a clean, organized and sanitary way, reorganizing as needed; performing regular deep cleaning. Education: High School or GED Equivalent Experience and Professional Qualifications: Certification in safe food preparation and handling practices; ServSafe certification a plus Experience with and knowledge of safety procedures Experience with developing nutritional dietary options for a diverse population Food prep and inventory experience necessary for this position Experience in restaurants a plus Must have, or be able to obtain, a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card Must have, or be able to obtain, a Food Handlers card
