General Position Summary The Linen Production position is responsible for effectively performing tasks such as continuously catching, sorting, folding, and feeding linens into ironer or folding machine for final finishing. This person may also be asked to help load/unload commercial washers and dryers. Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities Employee may be hired for one specific area and may be cross trained to perform all job functions listed below as needed. Production Catch  Meets required piece per operating hour (PPOH) standards  Responsible for counting, sizing, wrapping, and hanging items  Quality control checks linens accordingly to meet standards  Completes the necessary paperwork for invoicing Production Sort  Identifies orders to be processed by weighing, sorting and labeling linens  Move loaded or empty carts/bins within the production area Production Fold & Iron  Meets required piece per operating hour (PPOH) standards  Feeds the linens through the iron  Follows specific customer requirements for folding linens  Quality control checks linens accordingly to meet standards  Stacks and wraps linens accordingly based on customer requirements Load/Unload washers and dryers.  Load and unload commercial washers and dryers  Sort, separate and lay-out items to prepare for the next step in the cleaning process  Follows washing and drying cycle times for specific items Other Job Responsibilities and Requirements  Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance  Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation  Maintains work area clean and free of trip hazards  Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards  Respectfully takes direction from supervisor  Other duties as requested or assigned Qualifications  Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately  Recognize, inspect, and grade product  Comprehend and follow instructions  Comprehend and follow direction Education and Experience Requirements None Working Conditions and physical requirements The physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
