Description
Hi, My name is Andrew and I'm the singer/main songwriter for my ever-expanding band (currently roughly 9 people) Mosaic Mirrors. I'd love to add a tenor sax and trumpet to our band (we're looking for a new member, not a "hired gun"). We play a mix of dance rock, space-funk, modern-psychedelic, synth-pop... Our shows have been total parties lately and we’ve got good momentum. We have parts written and ready to go. We’re not a jam band (no 3-minute solos here)- more a "groove" band. It's driven by song-structure (though we're expanding the songwriting into more groove/jam out sections). We have an interesting instrumentation currently- a mix of live/electro drums, bass, analog synth, keyboards, alto sax, flute, congas, and guitar. We just competed in the finals of this battle of the bands and also had 2 female background singers for that gig. The ages in the band range quite a bit from mid-20s to early-40s, but most of the guys are late-20/early-30s. We're looking for a new member, not a paid-player. We've made some money at recent shows (nothing crazy), but we all have day jobs. The money we make from shows goes back into the band. We try to get together 1-2 times a week. We've got a great practice space at the Sound Museum in Brighton. We have vocal parts written out as well. (we're getting pretty serious!) Here are a few videos from our show a couple of weeks ago. There are a few videos on the YT channel. We are all about having fun and no-ego: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/--FKUbO18rA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5AVcWzCMFU&ab_channel=MosaicMirrors There are more fun clips here: https://www.instagram.com/mosaicmirrorsband/ Some influences to give you an idea: LCD Soundsystem Tame Impala Bad Bunny Talking Heads Animal Collective Daft Punk Metronomy Bowie If any of this is of interest to you, hit me up! We're making fun, exciting music these days and have various shows lined up, mostly in Cambridge/Somerville (and ready to play more!). Salud, Andrew
