We are looking for a reliable Home Maintenance Specialist who can help launch Avid’s new tech-enabled service by delivering quality maintenance work to homes all across the Des Moines, IA area while providing friendly and courteous service to homeowners. This tech savvy individual will need an extensive knowledge of all major components of a modern home, carry a professional & courteous demeanor, and enjoy traveling to multiple sites each and every day. Home Maintenance Specialist Job Responsibilities: Efficiently conducts a detailed list of supplied home maintenance tasks (e.g. replacing appliance filters) Performs various preventative care inspections of major components and safety systems (e.g. inspect HVAC connections) Catalogs home products and components by entering data into proprietary software Troubleshoot, resolve issues appropriately, and quickly determine when issues need to be escalated Requires local travel to multiple homes during each workday High degree of responsiveness to service appointments Collaborate with the Avid team to help improve processes, software, and workflows Qualifications: Experience performing routine home maintenance tasks Extensive knowledge of home products and major home components Strong time management and organizational skills Be a self-motivated multi-tasker, able to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision Enjoys interacting with people Willingness to travel across the Des Moines area (within normal business hours) on a daily basis Has a reliable vehicle and able to carry tools and equipment Tech-savvy About Us: Avid Ratings is a blend of many different sectors.
