I'm an older guy (48) whose been playing music for 35 years. I mainly play guitar, sing, bass, and I do some keys and a good amount of production/recording stuff as well. I'm looking for a drummer, bassist, and possible another guitarist and/or keyboard person to jam, write, record, and eventually play live. I have a space in my home in the Springs, but I'd be willing to travel for rehearsals a couple times a month if the right situation presented itself. The sound/vibe I'm going for is eclectic. A little metal, a little prog, some acoustic, some rock/blues, some ambient stuff, and some classical and ethnic music too. I am primarily interested in finding some like minded people (age doesn't matter to me as long as you can play and don't have too many psychological problems) to write new music. I am not interested in doing covers or classic rock or country - at all. Think The Doors meets SOAD meets AIC meets Tool meets Deftones meets Radiohead meets Katatonia with maybe some Queensryche, Miles Davis, and Neil Young thrown in - you get the idea. All over the place. I'm really big into vocal harmonies - I like some metal, but can't stand growling/screaming. So, if you sing as well, awesome! I'm posting a link here of some previous stuff I've done just as a frame of reference. I don't want to play any of my previous material - I want to jam and eventually write new material with creative types who are skilled at their instrument and write originals. I have no delusions of grandeur and I have a full time job and responsibilities.
