I adopted what was supposed to be a chihuahua mix but he grew into a handsome medium-sized German Shepherd mix. I'm a woman firmly in the senior citizen range, of slight build and with arthritic hands. My dog is 13 months old, 44 lbs, knows basic commands and is potty-pad trained. He's had love and care from me but not having a yard that's appropriate for him along with the physical pain I experience holding his leash and on the odd occasion that I need to lift him (Even though he's far smaller than a full-bred German Shepherd he's large compared to me), I've come to the realization I'm not able to give him all he deserves. He's neutered, up to date on shots, micro-chipped, comes with new crate, lots of toys, huge bones. $120 re-homing fee.
