Description
I lost my engagement and wedding rings together, likely on the weekend of May 14-15.
That weekend I was in the following places (all over the city sadly):
- Rogers Park, where I live
- Art Institute downtown
- Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary and Beach
- Original Pancake House, Trader Joes and Blue Mercury in Lincoln Park
- South Shore near 71st and Luella, where I work
The rings are both large size (I believe 12 or 13?), the engagement ring is antique and has been resized from a much smaller size.
Because the engagement ring has been in my husband's family for generations, I am increasing my previously posted reward to $1000 for them (or just for the engagement ring), or for information leading to me finding them.
If anyone is looking to pawn them - or has pawned them - I will give you the reward or beat what the pawn shop has offered, ***no questions asked***. I was once in a place financially where I had to pawn a ring and I understand. I just want them back.
Description of the engagement ring:
- Antique - I believe it has been in the family for four generations
- Large-size (I think 12 or 13 - edited from previous post b/c I had the size wrong)
- Yellow gold band with lighter colored, antique setting.
- Modest-sized central diamond is circular, I believe it is a brilliant cut or similar. It has a square-ish prong setting: four prongs placed in a square pattern.
- Next to the central diamond, the setting has what looks like a crosshatch pattern with tiny diamonds on each side.
- The ring has been resized up from a much smaller size.
The wedding band is a plain, thin, gold band. It is rounded on all sides - almost like it were made out of a thick gold wire.
I am sharing some pictures of them - they are not great pictures, I had to zoom in, but its better than nothing.
Thank you for your help!
