The City of Cleveland is searching for full time Heavy Equipment Technicians to join the team responsible for helping to keep our Public Works vehicles maintained and ready for service. Whether it be snow plows, garbage and recycling trucks, or one of the many other pieces of large construction equipment, our fleet is critical to keeping our City safe, clean, accessible, and growing! Heavy Equipment Technician Skills & Requirements: · High School or Trade School Diploma or GED · Three (3) years of experience in repairing and assessing malfunctions, rebuilding, and preventative maintenance on trucks and other heavy motorized equipment 20,000+ GVW · Evidence of training in heavy duty truck & diesel repair · Appropriate tools to perform duties · Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds · Ability to obtain an Ohio Class B Commercial Driver’s License upon hire – Let The City help you gain your CDL! We provide driving hours and preparation for the exam.
