Description

Oenophiles, ostreaphiles, and art lovers! It’s our first summer open here at Alice Gauvin Gallery! To celebrate, we’ve partnered with Portland’s own Devenish Wines and the folks behind Shuck Station in Newcastle to bring you an evening of bubbles and brine. Local wine pro Tim Woods of Devenish has curated a summery quartet of natural, small production sparkling wines, from raw, off-the-beaten path pet nats to classic biodynamic grower Champagne and rustic Italian fizz. He’ll guide you through grower-produced bubbles of all shapes, sizes, colors, and textures. Meanwhile, Brendan Parsons, the owner of Shuck Station and Blackstone Point Oyster Farm, will be offering a selection of four varieties of oyster (three farmed and one wild) to accompany this expansive palate (and palette!) of bubbles. Come toast the start of summer with us, and while you’re here, enjoy two distinctive exhibitions of paintings from two American masters, Lennart Anderson (1928 – 2015) and Albert Kresch (1922 – 2022).
