This position requires an individual dedicated to learning the mixing process through all stages, commencing with the milling duties and concluding through to the mixing stage. Operating the milling station is an essential and equally important part of the job, as is the mixing component of the position. While this position reports directly to the Production Supervisor, this individual will be overseen by the “Mixing Shift Supervisor” and receive direction from the “Mixing Lead”. • This position may assist in the General Labor – Cutter/Feeder duties in order to support the entirety of production. • Duties include the cutting of loads in the Mixing department, feeding material into the hopper of extrusion lines without standing on any type of platform, salvaging product on work tables, building boxes for packaging, packaging end product and restocking supplies as they are being used. • This individual must be able to recognize different production stages as the product is being produced. • This position requires the use of Personal Protection Equipment. Qualifications: • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the mixer process, which includes milling and mixing duties. • Conduct a safety audit on assigned millers and mixers prior to the start of the work shift, document any issues, and contact the appropriate individual to fix issues if required. • Ensure work areas are set up in an organized manner. • Ensure raw materials required for all duties of the position are within SOP weight limitations. • Load raw materials through a milling machine. • Read and document detailed instructions including mixing times in English. • Prepare primary raw materials to be used in the mixing process of our products. • Use a weight scale correctly, annotating accurate weights. • Recognize different raw materials ensuring the correct product is used during all stages of the milling/mixing procedure. • Lift various powders and liquids into a mixing machine. • Recognize the differences of prime chlorobutyls. • Identify defective material and contaminants. • Complete required scheduled work on time to support a busy and ongoing production demand. • Clean and maintain a clear and safe work area to allow a proper flow for employees between aisles of production as dedication to working safely is critical. • Support duties of General Labor cutters and feeders as necessary. • Must perform other duties as needed and requested by their supervisor.
