Job: A Family in upstate NY requires a Jack or Jill of all trades. Given complex needs, the family is willing to curate this position to highlight strengths of interest for the right candidate Potential Position Titles: House Manager, Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Chief of Staff, Remote Executive Assistant,, Household Coordinator Location: The family is based in upstate NY, with multiple properties throughout the US. So it is important that the candidate is flexible to travel wherever the family requires. *The family is open to relocating the right candidate to base in NY Potential Duties To Meet Family’s Current Needs: -Daily supervision of household staff, including housekeepers, nannies, governess, and chefs -Source and develop a well trained and supervised housekeeping staff, with an eye for detail and excellence -Household organization including pantries, closets, offices, storage spaces -Must be able to bring in, implement, and advise on household protocols and systems -Must be able to self-motivate and self-manage, while also partnering with the principal -Implement a household staff culture of family oriented team dynamics, balanced with healthy protocols and boundaries. Emphasis on continuing education for staff improvements -Household eye for detail regarding daily and seasonal maintenance of the home. Sourcing and working with outside vendors, and residential services as needed -Book travel for the family including flights, car services, private flights -Book reservations for the family as needed, ideally with concierge connections to restaurants in NY & Miami -Assist the principal as needed including errands, gifting, dinner parties -Assist principal with other business and philanthropic work -Work in tandem with the principal to manage household, personal, travel, staff, and children’s calendars, with willingness to learn and implement the family’s preferred calendar software -Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must -Experience or willingness to learn Asana and Signal before job start. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. -Willingness to learn and implement the family’s holistic household protocols -A calm & peaceful demeanor within the home is of utmost importance to this family. Especially comfort around children as valued members of the household, requiring patience and attention from all household staff Education & Personal Preferences: -Food and Beverage or Sommelier experience a plus -Experience or interest in art a plus -Hotel background a plus -Holistic approach to life, with a willingness to learn and implement the family’s standards around this view -Permaculture & regenerative gardening interest
