We are so excited to celebrate this day with everyone! Thank you for all the support from our community.
This year’s theme is ‘Summer of Color’. People of color coming together, loving on each other, is the greatest protest of them all—the very thing that will bring the change we want for our people.
The event will held at 100 S 600 W, Salt Lake City, Utah. *We are no longer hosting a Sunday service. The event in its entirety is from 12noon - 6pm.* We will start the event with a market of different Black, Indigenous, and People of Color businesses, ending the night with live performances and more.
This year we are prioritizing the kids. We want to make sure we are creating a safe and fun space for them. We have expanded our kid-friendly activities. We will have water attractions, lawn games, dunk tanks, donut-eating contest, face painting, mermaids, and so much more!
We haven’t forgotten it’s Father’s Day! Bring the dads out, we have attractions and games for them as well! We will be raffling off sporting equipment, gym memberships, outdoor equipment such as grills, and more!
Event entry is free, however we couldn’t have Juneteenth without community support and donations. We ask for your support again this year in raising money for the stage, sound, all the things needed to bring this event to life for the culture and community. All donations will be collected by Solidarity for Justice, Venmo : @solidarityforjustice . We also have @utahblackhistorymuseum as our fiscal sponsor if you are wanting a receipt of your donation for tax purposes. Please reach out for more info. You can also donate here via Eventbrite. Please consider donating.
