In honor of the life and message of Jesus Christ that reached Asia through the life of Apostle Thomas. July 3 is the traditionally accepted Martydom Day of St. Thomas, Apostle of India, Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, who arrived in India in 52 AD and was martyed in Chennai in 72 AD. The themes of "Love-Serve-Celebrate" will be honored through diverse cultural expressions of faith, including worship, song and dance in numerous languages (including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, etc...). Special speakers will highlight God's grace as historically recored through the life of Thomas and the Christian Scriptures. The Chicagoland area is a local expression of global brotherhood and faith, just one of numerous national celebrations in India and throughout Asia.
