HOLLYWOOD, FL — A man is dead after he was shot by a Publix security guard in Hollywood on Friday, according to a report by WPLG. Police are now investigating the death as a homicide. The shooting happened at the grocery store at 1740 Polk St. just after 10 p.m., WPLG reported. Police later determined the victim was known to the security guard and the two were involved in a fight shortly before the shooting.
