Conserving Water with Rainbarrels

A free drawing, cosponsored by the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA), for a 55-gallon rain barrel valued at $100 (pictured) will be offered during the program, which features rainwater harvesting specialist Chris Corvetti. It will be held in the Lane Room at the Burlingame Library at 480 Primrose Road in Burlingame. Admission is free, but advance registration is requested at https://bit.ly/3QhQXsI Chris will explain the basics of different rainwater harvesting systems and how to incorporate them into your landscaping. She’ll also discuss the environmental impact of these water-saving systems, the rebates currently offered in this area, and all the requirements to install one yourself. There will be ample time for questions and answers. Thre program is sponsored by the Citizens Environmental Council (CEC), BAWSCA, and the City of Burlingame.
