Press release from the Hamilton School District: June 10, 2022 The Hamilton School District presented district nurses Tracy Gordon and Lynn McClone with its 2022 Community Service Award at the May 16 School Board meeting. The award is the most significant recognition for individuals who have had a positive impact on the entire district. "Many people had to make adjustments when COVID-19 hit, but district nurses Tracy Gordon and Lynn McClone took incredible initiative in responding to the health needs of our schools," said Superintendent Paul Mielke, Ph.D. "They not only researched the situation and collaborated with health agencies, they took a leadership role in advising on school safety amid COVID-19," said Mielke." Their work not only benefited families in Hamilton, but other school districts adopted their recommendations as well." "They were the frontline in communicating with families affected by the pandemic, and they put in many long hours to serve the needs of our students, staff and community," Mielke said.
