Press release from University of Wisconsin - Green Bay: June 9, 2022 The Retiree Association Board of Directors invites all retirees to a summer cookout on Thursday, July 21, 2022, on the patio of the Weidner Center (inside in case of inclement weather). Social hour begins at 4:30 with a picnic dinner at 5:30. This gathering is always a great time to visit with colleagues and friends, especially after the last two years. The Board would like to extend a special invitation to newly retired individuals. This event will give you an opportunity to mix with many of the retirees that started our fine University. There will be a short business meeting of the Association following dinner. We will also need to fill any vacancies on the Board of Directors (BOD). If you wish to serve on the BOD, contact President Dan Spielmann ([email protected]) or one of the other Board members to express your interest. Serving on the Board is a rewarding experience which allows your input to enhance the activities of our retirees and to meet and get to know other retirees. Historically the board has met every third Tuesday of the month, but no meetings December through March… not a huge time commitment. Invitations to the cookout will be sent to your home address sometime in early July.
