Axolotl + Tank Setup

My heart breaks to do this, but I have to do what is best for Cheese. This is Cheese, an albino axolotl who is only 2 years old and the sweetest and funniest little dude ever. I bought him from one of the reptile expos when he was just a small little baby, and I’ve raised him to be the Axolotl he is today. He’s been my sweetest companion, and he sits by the door and waits for me to come home every day. I’m moving back to Alabama, and since he has certain temperature requirements, I can’t put him through the 14 hour drive to go back home to care for my mother who’s in the hospital. This is the best option for him, and even though it hurts my heart, I know that he will have a good life with someone who will stay put in Nebraska for the rest of his life. Cheese is currently in a 29 gallon aquarium with a stand included. He has a substrate of play sand, a PVC pipe, two plastic flower pots that have holes cut out for him, and a large rock he loves to hide in. He has a UV sterilizer, which he will be going with (it has to be covered with tin foil so it doesn’t hurt him), a light which helps his plants, a glass top, his fan chiller (which keeps his tank at a consistent 62) and everything that you see in the pictures. He also has three large mystery snail buddies that will go with him as well. He has not tried to eat them, but instead he allows them to clean off his tank and groom the plants down. He’s also coming with a bucket or two, and plenty of beneficial bacteria which I will put in a 1 gallon bag in order to help start him up in a new tank. He comes with everything that you see, and all I will be asking for him in this entire set up is 175. I paid much more for everything else, but I really want him to be in one of the best homes that he can be in with everything he’s used to. Pick up only, located in Bellevue, but I can and will help load if needed.
