Black-owned media outlets have been a beacon for Black communities for over 190 years. However, for participants in the industry, racial discrimination remains prevalent, manifesting in prejudices and systemic barriers such as lack of access to advertising deals, arbitrary rate setting, and buying restrictions applied to publications owned by Black entrepreneurs.
During this conference, you’ll gain valuable insights and strategies to create a new way forward, and learn about building our own ecosystem and the cultural revolution that is paving the way for the next generation of media. You’ll also have a special opportunity to visit Black Wall Street and learn about the history and legacy of this once-thriving Black economic and cultural mecca.
