The school season is coming to a close and the summer activities are just beginning. Bring the kids, grab a friend, or just meet up and network with us on this fun evening at the skate complex. Proceeds from this event will support the Philadelphia NAACP ACT-SO youth program. About NAACP NAACP is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. Since its inception in 1909, the NAACP has worked to achieve its goals through the judicial system, lobbying and peaceful protests. About ACT-SO The NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) is a yearlong achievement program designed to recruit, stimulate, and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African-American high school students. ACT-SO includes 32 competitions in STEM, humanities, business, performing, visual and culinary arts.
