I have lots of baby Koi that are 2 to 3" long and have not changed color yet that I am rehoming. My friend had over 100 Koi and when he changed out the pond and moved them, then moved them back in, he found tons of babies left behind in the holding pool....so I inherited over 100 and have raised them from 1/2" or smaller to the 2 to 3" they are now. Folks these will get eaten by racoons, blue heron (they stand still til the fish swims right around it's legs), hawks, ducks, other fish etc. etc. You must have a safe place for them like a netted Koi pond or a pond that has pond lettuce, water hyacinth and enough vegetation for protective covering and deep!......but if the pond has large fish in it, they will devour the babies too. Just want them to be safe! I also have some smaller fan tail goldfish too that are of various colors.
