The Tuscaloosa Police Department says officers first responded to the call at the eastern bypass at 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told local media that a driver crossing over the bridge stopped after seeing a running vehicle parked on the side of the northbound lanes.
The driver then called police after looking over the side and seeing that a man was deceased on the ground below.
The incident remains under investigation, but police reiterated that foul play is not suspected.
