Hello Parents! My name is Molly. I am a former elementary school teacher who has decided to spend more time with my 2 year old son and also provide in home child care to our community here in Sherwood.  I have over 10 years of child care and teaching experience including teaching 1st grade, 5th grade, coaching,  teaching swimming lessons, and babysitting. I have first aid/cpr training as well as a Master of Education in Elementary and Special Education. I am looking to provide a safe and encouraging environment for your child to explore and learn. We have a large play room as well as a backyard to play in, and are less than a block away from the neighborhood park that we frequent almost daily.  In the mornings we will sing songs, learn letter sounds and practice letter recognition as well as read books, and play. In the afternoons we will work on counting and one to one correspondence for numbers and basic math skills such as number sense and spatial reasoning through doing puzzles, building with blocks and tiles, and playing matching games. We will also work on gross and fine motor skills as well as learn colors, and shapes all while having fun! Part time up to 5 hours is $25 per day and full time up to 10 hours is $45 per day. My hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 to 5:30 and can be earlier or later with a minimal fee. Feel free to email me with any questions or to set up a time to meet and tour!
