Not sure why my post keeps getting flagged. Here we go again. Upright Bassist seeking to form or join Classic Country Combo My definition of Classic Country is 1940’s, 1950’ & 1960’s and possibly some 70's. Want to play covers of artists like Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Ernest Tubb, Floyd Tillman, Buck Owens, Lefty Frizzell, Etc… I’ve been retired from playing for 10 years and am getting the itch to start playing again. (Still trying to knock the rust off) I sing a little bit (very limited), and would welcome folks who can carry some or most of the vocal load. I’m still working full time, so not looking to play too often (Maybe Once a month or so max). Local gigs only. The following instrumentation is welcome: Guitars (Acoustic & Electric), Drums, Keyboards, Pedal steel, fiddle, and open to others. This is probably not going to be a money maker, so looking for people who really love playing this type of music. Race & gender don’t matter. What matters is that you love this type of music and are proficient at your instrument (Reliability and being easy going helps too!). Texts work best as I can’t always pick up the phone.
