"" You ever watch the Peanuts cartoons?? Remember the scene when Lucy holds the football for Charlie Brown and then she pulls it away at the last second to make him fall down? That is exactly what the Federal government does to oil companies all the time with their 'leases'. Oil leases don't mean shit, when the lease can be pulled at any time. -- And the government pulls those leases a LOT. You wouldn't believe how much oil companies spend on research, exploration and test-drilling. Then, after the oil company has spent tens or even hundreds of millions$$ on a drill site, the government yanks the lease, leaving them with nothing. A lot of the time, oil companies will do the research and find a large pocket of oil and as soon as the oil is discovered, the government takes it away. This happens ALL THE TIME !!!! It's to the point that oil companies don't TRUST government leases anymore, because it's always a bait and switch. The bigger problem is, Biden's government is not allowing oil companies to PUMP and REFINE oil on a larger scale. That's exactly how Trump got prices down so low, was by increasing supply. (remember; 'supply and demand'?) If we ramped up production to Trump-era levels, we wouldn't have to buy oil from countries that hate us, and prices would come down. The only reason why we're paying more for gas right now is because Biden's handlers want it that way. We don't have to rely on the rest of the world for oil, we have plenty in the ground to take care of ourselves for a very long time. World market prices should not affect us, if our government would allow more domestic production. Joe Biden is playing right into China's hands, with the help of his radical Leftist handlers.
