Bring dad, your family, friends, or simply yourself, on a journey through: Culture History Literacy A unique music presentation! This cultural/educational presentation will include short explanations designed to enhance your appreciation of this music. You will learn something about "lead sheets" and how jazz improvisation works. Chamber Music with some help from technology. Check it out on Eventbrite.com Greg Watkins The event is hosted by veteran jazz/blues piano player Greg Watkins. As a Berklee trained musician, he applies a jazz understanding to various styles including jazz, blues, and country. He is a piano teacher at Piano Pathways and has also taught music in the Jeffco school district. Greg will play one of our recital grand pianos, along with a computer-generated "orchestra", performing a collection of popular songs from the first half of the 20th century. Refreshments will be available. Piano Pathways of Colorado, Inc.
