Need trench dug around old garage

We need a trench about 10" wide hand dug around a small one car garage. The garage is an old cinder block structure, and we need an 8" to 12" (approximately) wide trench dug around the sides and back. The front of the garage is at ground level, while the lawn slopes upward toward the back about 3' to 4'. No machines can be used. We have an Azada which can aid in the process if you're interested in using it. The only other tool that can be used is a shovel. The dirt must be carted by wheelbarrow about 50' back and dumped under a set of trees in the same yard. The trench must go down about 18" below the garage floor level (bottom of the walls).
