Description
I’m a 60-year old blues/rock guitar player. I’ve been in several hobby bands over the years that played out infrequently.
My lifelong goal has been to be a member of a local working band.
I’m now retired and have the time to devote to a more professional band.
I’ve been in the same hobby band for the past year and loving it. We’ve played out 4 times during this time.
The guys know that I’m looking for a second band and that I have no intention of abandoning them, but they also know that I want more and are supportive.
My current band is heavily blues-based and plays the music I love and allows me to continue to work on my soloing chops.
I’m now looking for a band that is more geared towards a setlist that is more commercially viable (e.g. dance or wedding band).
I’m more than happy to be the 2nd guitar and do what I’m told. I’m also willing to step in an replace a missing lead player. I have pro equipment and can play electric, acoustic, slide, and a little organ (through an organ pedal)
You can find better guitar players, but you will not find one with a better worth ethic or one who is more reliable.
