Hermit Crabs of the Pacific Northwest is a non profit rescue located in the heart of Albany, OR, that specializes in the care and keeping of land hermit crabs. We offer extra supplies as well as care information for owners who are open minded about learning more! Hermit crabs are one of the most misunderstood animals in the animal keeping hobby. There is a lot of incorrect information out there about how to care for them properly. Generally advertised as only able to survive for a few months, they can live for decades in captivity, and are expensive to get setup (like most exotic animals). We try to not take in rehomes, and prefer to take them in from people who either don't want them anymore or who have an emergency situation.
