I am comfortable reading charts, backing soloists or singers with four mallets with syncopated fills. A fairly good improviser through chord changes in any key. I am also into Latin,playing a ii-v Montuno progression solos. I can adapt to -any style presented to me...I am older with much experience.Years ago I was a Union Member at Local 47 in Hollywood for 47 years working 5 to 6 nights a week in clubs for months...in the same join!!
