We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with the The Macedonians Humanitarian Association (MHA) (https://mekedoniahomes.org/) yet again to produce and host another one of a kind event in Silver Spring, Maryland community to bring our DMV community to celebrate our Fathers, shop and enjoy entertainment and food. Mekedonia Homes is a sanctuary to 7,000 elderly and disabled Ethiopians who have no one to care for them, most of them who are bedridden and terminally ill. Located in Addis Ababa, near Ayat condominium in front of Medhanialem Church, the sanctuary is the only shelter that provides twenty-four hours of permanent housing, food, clothing, and proper medical care, provided by compassionate staff that lives with them. Ambassel Records, founded by Fekadu Wari Gerbi in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 1976, is a production and record label known for recording and distributing quality and variety records and productions in Ethiopia and the rest of the world. Ambassel Records is home for the legends Mahmoud Ahmed, Tilahhun Gesese, Teddy Afro and much more. Ambassel is also known to have partnered with the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC, formerly ETv) for more than eight years to direct and produce the Ethio Talent Show on ETV3. Ethio Talent show, a talent competition show that attracted over 5000 competitors across Ethiopia to participate and win rewards ranging from a Sedan Car to cash rewards, recognized several talented Artists and brought them to fame. Ambassel Records, USA was established in the United States recently and has partnered with community leaders and artists to curate events that bring our people together and also give back to our society. On January 11, 2020, Ambassel hosted the legendary Mahmoud Ahmed and Roha Band along with Artist Abeba Desalegn and Comedian Meskerem Bekele at the Ethiopian Embassy to bring about a unique event that also recognized and awarded prominent artists that significantly contributed to the East African music industry. Ambassel was honored to award these recognitions in partnership with Ambassador of Ethiopia to the United States, Mr. Fitsum Arega which resulted in the event attracting several local and international media and news attention. Our event will be held at the Silver Spring Civic Building on June 19th, 2022 from 9 am to 9pm. Our event will feature over 46 vendor booths, a full stage with DJ, various cultural performances and poetry, competitions, sponsor promotions, and a moment to remember and honor all fathers around the world. We are partnering with Mekedonia Homes and a few other nonprofits to create awareness about all the fathers that could use our help in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and raise funds to send directly to the non profit organization. We are excited to bring the anticipated cultural festival and bazzar to the greater Silver Spring / DMV community. This is Vendor Registration Ticket. EVENT IS FREE FOR THE PUBLIC! DJ/Band will be ready to Setup. 10:00 AM – EVENT START – all vendors will be prepared and ready to start opening up to the public. 10:00 – 8:00 PM Vendors will be Active. 12:30: All artists / talents should be ready to perform and present 1:30- 7:00 pm Talent performances 8:30 : Vendors Close and start clean up 8:30 WRAP UP and start cleaning up. 9:00 PM All in order, all cleaning completed.
